UpTeKK recognizes the critical importance of secure data destruction. Media received through our facility is handled through established data sanitization or physical destruction processes, depending on the device and service selected. Our goal is to ensure data-bearing materials are properly processed before leaving our control, helping protect sensitive information and provide peace of mind.
Data Destruction Options:
Option 1 (FREE): Data Sanitization or Physical Destruction
UpTeKK offers two secure methods for handling hard drives. Devices may be processed through multi-pass data sanitization for reuse, or sent for physical destruction through downstream metal recycling. Upon request, UpTeKK can provide a certificate of data destruction documenting the service performed, including item counts, dates, and staff verification.
Option 2 ($4 per Drive): Certificate of Data Destruction with Serial Numbers
For customers needing enhanced documentation, we can record hard drive serial numbers and include them on an extended certificate of data destruction for your records. Data sanitization or physical destruction is then performed as outlined in Option 1.
Optional Service by Request: Hard Drive Drilling with Photos
For customers with specific compliance or internal policy requirements, hard drive drilling with photographic documentation may be available upon request for $8 per drive.
