At UpTeKK, we accept a wide range of electronics, office equipment, appliances, and scrap materials, including computers, cords, TVs, phones, printers, office chairs, and more.
What sets us apart is our commitment to reuse before recycling. Every item dropped off is carefully inspected to determine whether it can be refurbished, repurposed, or given a second life. For data-containing devices, secure data destruction is a priority before any reuse consideration. Items that pass our evaluation may be resold, helping reduce waste and extend the life cycle of valuable resources.
For items that cannot be reused, we ensure responsible recycling through approved downstream processes, keeping hazardous materials out of landfills and recovering commodities for future use.

These items can be recycled for a fee when dropped off at our facility.
- Printers = $5.00
- Mattress or Box Spring = $30.00
(must be dry, free of bedbugs, and without excessive staining) - Microwave Ovens = $5.00

- Up to 5 lbs = $10
- Up to 10 lbs = $20
- Up to 20 lbs = $30
- Over 20 lbs, please contact us first.
- The weight rating is based on the extinguishing agent inside the unit. Most residential extinguishers are 5 lbs.
- Propane or Helium Tanks = $5 per tank up to 5 gallon / 20 lb tanks, then $1.00 per gallon based on tank capacity (not contents remaining)
- Items Containing Refrigerant* = $30
- Water Heaters = $5.00
Bulk discounts may be available for businesses and government agencies for items with fees.
Disposal Fees May Apply For:
- Wood and Wood Entertainment Centers
- Windows, Glass, and Mirrors
- Plastic Pools, Toys, Hoses, Etc.
- Carpeting
- Large Furniture (couches, lounge chairs, etc.)
- Large Quantities of Ink or Toner
Items We Do Not Accept:
- Grass, Leaves, or Yard Debris
- Garbage
- Paint
- Damaged or Non-Reusable Cardboard and Newspaper
- Household Batteries
- Tool Batteries (Lithium or Otherwise)
- Food Waste

Important Note: We accept cardboard only when it is dropped off with other recyclable items. We do not accept cardboard-only loads.
Clean, dry, intact boxes may be accepted for reuse in shipping, but we do not accept TV boxes or oversized large boxes, as these are generally not reusable in our operations.
Boxes may be broken down for easier handling, but please do not destroy them.
This policy helps support our focus on reuse, reduce waste, and keep materials in circulation whenever possible. Thank you for supporting UpTekk’s sustainability efforts.
* Appliances containing refrigerants require proper handling and should never be disposed of in the landfill. If released, refrigerants can harm the environment, which is why these items must be managed through proper recovery and recycling processes.
Because refrigerant-containing appliances require additional labor and specialized handling, an added recycling fee applies.
Items that may contain refrigerant include, but are not limited to:
